Green University Discusses Cooperation on Climate Education and Green Economy Development

On June 23, a meeting was held at Green University with the participation of representatives of international organizations and the university leadership.

The meeting was attended by Alexander Gareev, Sub-Regional Head for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and Anas Fayad Karman, Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the leadership of Green University presented the university’s educational, research, and analytical areas related to climate policy, sustainable development, and the green economy.

The participants discussed opportunities for cooperation in the areas of capacity building, climate education, analytical support for projects, and development of competencies aligned with the requirements of the Green Climate Fund.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for exchanging views and exploring joint initiatives aimed at advancing green economy development, strengthening climate expertise, and supporting sustainable development goals.
