Green University Hosts Lecture Series on International Environmental Law and Climate Governance

Green University recently concluded a successful lecture series on International Environmental Law and Climate Governance, held from May 20-30, 2024. The series was led by the distinguished Professor Randall Abate, Assistant Dean for Environmental Law Studies at George Washington University Law School, and was organized with support from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).Green University recently concluded a successful lecture series on International Environmental Law and Climate Governance, held from May 20-30, 2024. The comprehensive program was tailored for students, faculty, and legal professionals, offering an in-depth exploration of critical topics in environmental law and climate governance. Participants engaged in a series of lectures and discussions covering:
- Principles of international environmental law- Global climate agreements and their implementation- Legal frameworks for climate change mitigation and adaptation- Emerging trends in environmental litigation
As part of the series, Professor Abate also delivered a public lecture titled "Introduction to Climate Governance," which was open to community members. This event provided an accessible overview of climate policy and law for a general audience, fostering broader public engagement with these crucial issues.
