Green University Launches Biodiversity Finance Academic Module

On June 3, 2026, Green University officially launched the Biodiversity Finance Academic Module, a new educational initiative developed in partnership with UNDP and supported by the Governments of Germany and Switzerland.

Opening the event, Dr. Bakhtiyor Pulatov, Rector of Green University, highlighted the growing need for professionals who can connect environmental priorities with financial decision-making.

“The future of sustainable development depends on our ability to invest in nature and build financial systems that support environmental resilience. Education plays a central role in this transformation,”

said Bakhtiyor Pulatov.

The module introduces students to internationally recognized approaches and practical tools for biodiversity finance, including the globally recognized BIOFIN methodology, helping prepare the next generation of sustainability leaders for Uzbekistan and Central Asia.
