Description

Communities are defined as a group of interacting species occupying the same location. A community is living organisms bound together by their interactions and relationships between different species. We can better understand communities by examining how species interact with one another and the resulting effects that occur for each species. Changes within one species can result in cascading effects on other species within a community. We can describe and define interactions based on positive, neutral, or negative effects that the interactions have on the species involved.
